Course Reserves

Attention Faculty Members:

To maximize usability, the library course reserve system has been updated.  If you would like to place (physical)  items on 2-hour reserve, including: media, articles,  and/ or books (other than the bookstore-identified textbook(s) ),  please complete the following electronic form: http://www.ccc.commnet.edu/library/reserves.htm .  To search for library items, please visit the library catalog or research databases.  If you wish to place photocopies on reserve, please supply 2 copies for each course section. The library does not make photocopies.  If you would like a demonstration on uploading articles from the library’s research databases to BlackBoard, please email me to schedule an appointment.

iConn Update!

As you may be aware, a handful of Capital’s research databases are funded through a statewide licensing agreement managed by the CT State Library – otherwise known as iCONN. As of July 1st, iCONN no longer subscribes to any Cengage Gale products (ex. History/ Biography/ Science in Context; Health and Wellness Resource Center; LegalTrac;  etc). These resources have been replaced with comparable (subject-specific) databases maintained by EBSCOhost. Please be mindful of this transition as your prepare your research assignments! If you have questions about a particular database, please feel free to contact me at jvanderhoff@capitalcc.edu! A full list of available research databases are available here.
